Research Associate

Position Description

The Research Associate (RA) position reports directly to the project Principal Investigator (PI). Ideal RA candidates will be comfortable in an environment that requires a high level of independence and intellectual curiosity, and the ability to use discretionary judgment. While this is a research position, there is an element of entrepreneurship to the project, and you must have an interest in entrepreneurship.

 

You will be working on a project involving redesigning an existing gait rehab device to better suit the needs of post-stroke patients.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be located in the Ann Arbor, MI area
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a health-related field
  • Some prior research experience
  • Fit the NIH definition of diversity. It’s very broad, so see details in Part 2, Section 1 of this link
  • Strong interest in research and entrepreneurship
